We Build Relationships With The Local School Communities.
Using public schools as a hub, community schools build relationships among educators, families, community-based organizations, business, health and social service agencies, and youth development organizations to implement activities that promote high educational achievement and use the community as a resource for learning. Community development organizations can link up with schools in a variety of ways, depending on their institutional experiences, focus, and capacity. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs. We were founded by a local Roanoke, Virginia resident and University of Virginia student.
We want to encourage young children to read and enjoy it. As Dr. Seuss said, “The more things that you read, The more things you will know. The more that you learn the more places you will go.”
